Electric Nights

This project is an audio reactive visual. It was initially a group project that contained four different audio reactive visuals that rotated every 30 seconds.

The visual showcased on this page is my independently made audio reactive visual that I created on Touch Designer.

The inspiration derived from music and club scenes. The piece imagined projected visuals as interior design of a “night club space” that is dynamic with music. The piece I created was inspired by lava lamps. Made with a large circle that shifts from yellow to orange and a horizontal line that shifts from magenta to purple. I implemented code to change the intensity of the glow. Other characteristics changed based on the audio such as color, the width of the line, and the vertical movement of the circle. These visual characteristics changed based on rhythm, snare, kick, and low, mid, and high frequencies.
